March Photo Competition

Spring sprung two days ago, so you've got absolutely no excuse not to be flooding this month's Flickr group with glorious springtime images.  Or images of grey skies and drizzle if you happen to live in Seattle.

March In Paris

I realise that we haven't yet introduced our fabulous guest judge for this month.

Abigail Percy is one of the hottest young jewellery design talents around and has a truly gorgeous and inspirational blog, full to bursting with her beautiful photographs and stunning jewellery designs.  She's one of our favourite suppliers - check out her stunning pink pearl bracelet at mirrormirror - and also has her own Etsy shop full of limited edition pieces. And she's just come back from Paris, which means that we officially hate her.

You've got until midnight on the 29th of March to post your entries to the Flickr group to give Abigail the chance to do her judgely thing.  And remember that this month there's a box of delicious French leaf soaps at stake.

something weird on with the comments, I left one here a few days ago and it's gone! and so have the two that preceeded it. Odd.

Anyway, I'm back here to say I couldn't enter the March photo comp (wah) as my flickr account is full so I can't upload anything anymore, not without losing my other work. In fact, I discovered to my horror that one of my sets has entirely gone, and my MY WORK set only has 2 pictures showing! Gah, but I can't pay $25 for a pro account.

Anyway, just thought I ought to explain why I never 'stepped up' as they say.

ps, been trying to comment at mirror mirror and it won't let me in there at all, tho that happens quite often.

Thanks for letting us know, Cally, we'll try to investigate the comments issue - I've had problems too, so it's not just you!!
We would never want to deny you a chance to enter (well maybe a little, you're just too darned good at catching beautiful images, so it may be in other readers' interests!). If you're still having Flikr issues next month, email me the pick and I'll upload it for you.

It was nice reading your post. I needed to know such kind of information to update myself. I work in my friend’s boutique of flower girl dresses and also help in the online promotion.

Alki bakery makes them - I have picked them up at Metro Market in West Seattle. They are the only ones I have ever seen in the US where the cross wasn't iced on.

It is really hard to toast them if the cross is iced on, and my favourite way of eating them is toasted with melty butter so I was very excited.

wow, I'd never even have thought of displaying books by colour, I always arrange them by height but they look so great here, I'm going to have a rethink about that!
